The Standards Development Committees are sector-specific bodies under the Ministry of Municipal Rural Affairs & Housing in Saudi Arabia. They set industry standards that ensure quality and consistency across construction, urban planning, housing, sustainability, and more. Together, the 14 committees act as a bridge between the public and private sectors, driving collaboration, innovation, and investment aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.
The Ministry needed a unified yet flexible visual identity that could express leadership and foster private sector trust. The challenge: design a brand system where each of the 14 sector committees has its own recognisable symbol while staying clearly connected to the Ministry’s parent identity.
Skyne created a smart brand architecture and visual identity inspired by city grids and maps — symbols of structure and guidance. Each committee’s mark is an industry-specific icon embedded in a shared grid system. The result is a distinct yet cohesive identity that embodies “unity in diversity.”
Each sector committee’s icon was crafted within the same grid rules and colour palette. This balance ensures every logo stands strong alone but also fits seamlessly within the larger family. It’s an architecture that communicates precision and connection, a hallmark of well-governed urban development.
