Dibba Bay

From local waters to global Oyster brand

The Oyster Brand from the Middle East Made for the World. Founded by Ramie Murray, Dibba Bay Oysters is the first oyster farm of its kind in the Middle East. Harvested in the Gulf of Oman’s ideal conditions, Dibba Bay produces premium oysters known for their quality and freshness. The brand aimed to move beyond regional recognition and establish itself on the international stage.

The Shift

Dibba Bay faced the challenge of transforming from a local brand into an international competitor in the luxury seafood market. The brand needed to be repositioned to communicate its unique origin, premium quality, consistent supply and global relevance, essential for standing out against established international oyster brands.

Strategic Branding for Global Recognition

Skyne conducted stakeholder workshops and market research, exploring both the oyster industry and adjacent luxury and lifestyle markets. The result was a clear brand strategy, a central brand story, and distinct sales pitches designed to position Dibba Bay as a luxury lifestyle brand with international appeal amongst its various target audiences. A brand that brings people together and enriches experiences through the enjoyment of oysters.

Educating and Engaging International Consumers

Understanding the knowledge gap in oyster purchasing, we developed a pictogram system paired with QR codes, helping customers identify oyster sizes and access shucking tutorials and tasting notes. This practical, intuitive system made the brand accessible and appealing across markets.
