Dutch Design Center:
The hub for Dutch design in the Middle East

With the arrival of the first Dutch Design Center (DDC) outside the Netherlands, the strong pedigree of Dutch creativeness is powerfully represented in the Middle East.

DDC is the online and offline destination that brings the best of the Dutch creative sector to the Middle East. The initiative is designed to spark collaborations and purposed to achieve economical growth of the Dutch creative sector in the Middle East.

From its physical location in Dubai Design District, d3, the Middle East’s leading design destination, the center orchestrates boutique exhibitions, noteworthy keynote speeches, creative workshops and unique collaborations. This is done through key partnerships with reputed design initiatives, designers and creative communities including Dutch Design Foundation, Dubai Design Week, Dutch Creative Industries, d3, and Art Dubai.

Founded in collaboration

The Dutch Design Center is a collaborative effort of leading Dutch firms: HunterDouglas, Keller Kitchens, Royal Ahrend and Skyne. In 2016, the founders came up with the idea to combine their strengths in a synergistic collaboration to promote and achieve economic growth of the Dutch creative sector in the Middle East.  Next to being the proud co-founder of DDC Skyne is responsible for its strategy, branding, positioning and communication.
